Why Bamboo Sheets?
Our Bamboo Lyocell Sheets compare to high thread count Egyptian Cotton and Silk. They are buttery-soft and incredibly comfortable.
Bamboo is strong and durable, so you can count on these holding up for a while; which is what you want with something you use everyday.
Kick back, relax and feel good about your purchase! Bamboo requires 1/3 of the amount of water to grow that cotton needs and bamboo produces 35% more oxygen than the average tree! Bamboo fields are sometimes even referred to as carbon sinks for their ability to sequester such large amounts from the atmosphere.
Bamboo is also naturally anti bacterial and anti fungal, so there is no need for the use of pesticides when growing. This helps keep the local groundwater clean.
Bamboo farming creates a positive environmental culture and because bamboo can be grown almost anywhere, it can offer a reliable and sustainable source of income to farmers living in harsh conditions.
A sustainable, high quality choice.
Don't you want to slip into a nice clean and cozy bed every night?
Why We Choose Bamboo Lyocell
Bamboo is an incredibly versatile plant that realeases a serious amount oxygen into the air as it grows. It also requires less water to be produced when compared to other standard materials, grows extremely fast and can grow almost anywhere.
If we can start using this readily available resource more often in our lives, we can create a sustainable farming culture and there is potential to have a positive impact on the earth as a whole and for all those who live on it.
Not all bamboo fabrics are created equally
Most bamboo fabrics are bamboo from viscose -a cheap and chemically intensive way to create fabric from Bamboo.
Bamboo viscose requires large amounts of sodium hydroxide to be used, an extremely corrosive chemical that damages the health of workers and the health of the planet.
Our Lyocell process uses an organic amine oxide in its place. With this technique, 99% of the solvent and water used is recovered and reused within the next batch of the manufacturing process, thereby significantly reducing water consumption. Leftover waste is minimal and harmless to the environment
Low impact should be the standard.
Lets start using sustainable materials for our everyday needs.
